BIDDEFORD — A 15-year-old Biddeford High School freshman has been charged with terrorizing, a Class C felony, in relation to a threatening internet posting that caused school officials to cancel classes for the day on May 26.

Because of the suspect’s age, his name is not being released by authorities. The matter has been referred to juvenile court for prosecution, according to Biddeford Police Chief Roger Beaupre.

The anonymous posting depicted a gun emoji and a two-second clip of a gun from a television show, according to school officials. Students at the high school alerted school administrators of the posting on May 25.
