Walter J. Eno’s May 25 Maine Voices column on transgender rights is right on the mark. The politically correct culture has gotten so extreme as to be almost beyond ridiculous.

I thank Mr. Eno for his reasonable and clear commentary on transgender rights. A human is either born with XX or XY chromosomes, and nothing can change that DNA.

I, too, would like preferential treatment for being in a minority in today’s world – a WASP.
