WELLS — Using drip irrigation in the home garden will be the focus of a University of Maine Cooperative Extension workshop on Thursday, June 2, from 6-7:30 p.m.at Wells Reserve, 342 Laudholm Farm Road.
Topics include how drip irrigation saves time and water and why plants respond favorably. Participants will learn how to install a simple drip irrigation system in the home garden.
Led by UMaine Extension Master Gardener volunteer Allan Amioka, the program is part of the All Seasons Garden series at the Wells Reserve, sponsored by Extension’s Master Gardener Volunteers program in York County.
The $7 fee, $5 for Laudholm Trust members and Master Gardener volunteers, is payable at the event. To preregister, call 324-2814 or email rebecca.gowdy@maine.edu.
