BOWDOINHAM — Robert E Linneken, 85, of Post Road, Bowdoinham died at his home May 16 with his family by his side.

He was the 3rd child born to Raymond Linneken, Sr. and Eva (Libby) Linneken in Portland Maine. He was raised in Bowdoinham, attended schools and married Allison (Billings) Linneken in 1951.

Bob had a variety of jobs in his lifetime which ranged from potato picker, leather mill worker, driving a forklift in a lumber yard to auto mechanics. He was working at Brunswick Ford when he retired in 1990. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping and fishing and especially enjoyed his family camp in South Monmouth, Maine.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Allison of 59 years, his daughter Julie Linneken Randall, both parents, a sister Doris Temple, and brother Raymond Linneken, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Patricia Linneken of Syracuse ,NY, daughter Carole Linneken of Brunswick, son Daniel, and wife Cyndee of Richmond and Brian and wife Carol of Bowdoinham. He is survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He leaves behind his Golden retriever, Clancy.

Bob enjoyed his wood business which kept him busy after the death of his wife. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping, fishing and especially enjoyed his family camp in South Monmouth, Maine. He was often seen by his neighbors on one of his tractors crossing the Post Road to get to his gardens. If four words could describe Bob it would be “one of a kind”.

A graveside service will be held at the Bayview Cemetery on Route 24 in Bowdoinham at 11:00 AM on June 25, 2016. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
