GEORGETOWN — The Georgetown Democratic Committee is hosting a Meet the Candidates event on Saturday, June 4 from 2-4 p.m. at the Georgetown Community Center. Senate Candidate Eloise Vitelli, Sheriff Joel Merry and Representative primary candidates Allison Hepler and Will Neilson will be present to introduce themselves and have agreed to a question and answer period.

Maine’s primary date for local municipal elections and for statewide House or Senate seats that are contested will be Tuesday, June 14. Voting hours in Georgetown will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m, and absentee ballots can be requested by mail or at Town Hall until Thursdy June 9. Ballots may be returned until the closing of the polls on June 14.
