BRUNSWICK
The Curtis Friends will be holding a Kids Book Sale on Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Twice-Told Tales used and rare bookstore, located at 11 Pleasant St. in Brunswick. All of the items are priced at $1 or less and will appeal to preschool to middle school-age children.
“Kids really enjoy being able to shop for themselves where less than $5.00 can yield an armload of books,” said Youth Services Manager at Curtis Library Pamela Jenkins. “And teachers, perhaps working under budget constraints, can supplement their curricula at very little added expense.”
For those looking for young adult items, there will be a buy one, get one free of equal or lesser value offer. The store also has a selection of books, CDs, and DVDs in dozens of categories.
All items are in excellent condition and are priced well below their original cost.
Proceeds from the book sale will support Curtis Kids programs and purchase books for the children’s collection at the library.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
