NAPLES — The visiting Kennebunk girls lacrosse team improved to 8-0 with a 10-3 win over Lake Region on Thursday.

Carly Sandler and Kyra Schwartzman led the way for Kennebunk as Sandler finished with seven assists and Schwartzman scored five times.

Jenny Bush added three goals and one assist and both Kristin Koch and Grace Robinson added one goal in the win.

Bella Kudas stopped five shots in the cage for the Rams, who will visit Marshwood on Saturday.

Th ornton Ac ademy 13, Cheverus 4

Seven different Trojans found the back of the cage as they cruised to a win over Cheverus.

Jules Grondin led TA with three goals and one assist and Paige LeBlanc also scored three goals in the win.

TA would also get two goals and one assist from both Faith Sinclair and Amanda Cyr, while Hannah McAlary, Alanna Pettaway and Addy Paradis all scored one goal.

The Trojans (7-2) will host Portland on Monday.

Baseball Biddeford 1, Windham 0

The host Tigers got a complete-game shutout from Brady Crepeau as they picked up their third win of the season.

Crepeau allowed just one hit and struck out nine Windham batters in the win.

Biddeford would score the winning run in the fourth when Joey Curit smacked a double, moved to third on a Jason Vadnais single and scored on a sacrifice fly from Logan Magnant.

The Tigers (3-8) will host rival Thornton Academy on Saturday.

Gorham 13, Th ornton Ac ademy 7

The host Trojans would drop their second game of the season despite getting multiple hits from four different players.

TA (9-2) was led by Luke Chessie and Ben Steva with three hits apiece. Brogan Searle-Belanger and Brandon Hall added two hits each in the loss.

Andrew Coleman, Zach Ham, Searle- Belanger and Evan Balzano would share the pitching duties for TA.

The Trojans will visit Biddeford at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Boys Tennis

South Portland 4, Biddeford 1

The Tigers would get a win from their top singles player, but that would be it as South Portland (7-3) picked up the win.

Biddeford’s Zach Heffernan took down Andy LeBlanc 6-3, 6-4 in first singles.

Evan Santiago dropped a hard-fought singles match to South Portland’s Will Weeks in three sets.

The Tigers’ second doubles team of Mike Riessfelder and Matt Poirier also dropped a tough three-set match.

Biddeford (6-5) will close out the regular season at Thornton Academy on Monday.
