In addition to the featured pets of the week, Alexis and Bonnie, ACAR has a great selection of small to teenage kittens, a nice selection in young adult cats and a limited number of older adult cats that also are looking for new loving homes.
To find these pets, check out adoptable pets at www.petfinder.com in the 03906 zip code. ACAR is in need of dry and wet cat food. Food donations may be dropped off at Another Chance Thrift Shop on 37 Market St., North Berwick, or call 676-5599 for pickup.

All thrift store profits benefit the animals. Donations of items to the thrift store are welcome.
To assist the rescue’s mission of providing a safe environment and quality care for abandoned, abused and lost pets, people can become a Support for Life member by pledging $10 a month. The monthly donations help the rescue meet ongoing expenses and continue its work as a true “no kill” organization.
Donations may be sent to: Another Chance Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 552, North Berwick, ME 03906.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
