BATH — The Bath Middle School softball team opened its season on Thursday with a 14-2 win over Brunswick Junior High School.
Dory Kulis had a double, Julia Goddard two singles, Giorgia Fisher, Abbie Reed and Xantha Rutledge each singled, while Brook Kulis pitched in with a single and an RBI for the Destroyers.
Kulis pitched four innings for Bath with 10 strikeouts and one walk, and Brook Kulis pitched one inning with one strikeout and one walk.
Alexis Guptill reached on an error and Chloe Coombs had a base hit to score Guptill, while Coombs stole home to score the second run for Brunswick.
Betsy Orlando pitched well for Brunswick.
Bath heads to Lewiston today.
