PORTLAND — A stabbing Thursday morning on Brighton Avenue left an unidentified man hospitalized and police seeking two suspects.

Police Lt. James Sweatt, said the victim, 31, of Veazie, was in stable condition at Maine Medical Center. The stabbing occurred around 1:15 a.m. in the parking lot of Denny’s restaurant at 1220 Brighton Ave.

Sweatt said police are looking for two black males, both about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with short hair.

The stabbing occurred after an altercation between two groups at PT’s Showclub at 200 Riverside St. Staff at the club separated the groups, who left, but then resumed the confrontation at the restaurant, Sweatt said.
