WATERVILLE — The Thomas College men’s lacrosse team fell to Green Mountain College, 6-4, in a North Atlantic Conference game Saturday afternoon on Smith Field.
Kade Strout of Richmond led the Terriers (1-7, 1-5 NAC) with two points on a goal and assist. Brendan McKenna netted three goals and added an assist to lead the Eagles.
Thomas goalkeeper Connor Lamberton held strong through the first quarter on a barrage of Green Mountain shots. Lamberton stopped the first nine shots he faced in the period before surrendering the first Eagles goal to Will Durant, assisted by Nick Parsons, with one minute left in the quarter.
Tied 2-2 with five minutes remaining in the opening half, Strout scored to give Thomas the lead. But, McKenna once again tied the game with under three to go to bring the score to 3-3 at the half.
The Terriers will return to action when they face Husson on Wednesday in a NAC game at 6 p.m. in Bangor.
