Well Public Library is excited to welcome Matt Loosigian for an Earth Day concert. Matt is a folk singer/guitarist specializing in playful, funny songs about ecology and being green. Anyone would want to join in as he works his musical magic in this interactive and fun music show. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Wells Public Library. Thursday, April 21 at 6 p.m.

Ever wonder what happens in the library after dark? Let your stuffed animal find out. Come in for a library party, and leave a stuffed animal for a sleepover. Come back the next day to see pictures of what kind of trouble the animals get into while everyone is gone. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Wells Public Library. Digital photos in disarray? If so, join Lisa Luken, Photo Organizer and Simplicity Coach, for this hands-on digital photo organizing workshop. Bring your MAC/Apple laptop and Lisa will help set up folders and begin to organize one’s digital photos. Please be sure to run a full backup of the computer before bringing it to this workshop. Join local naturalist and birder Josh Fecteau for a midday walk around Wells Harbor Community Park. the group will explore the spring landscape in search of greenery, and scan the skies, trees, marsh and river for birds. April is Autism Awareness month. Join the library as local resident Karen MacNeill shares the story of her son’s diagnosis with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of Autism, and how life improved after the diagnosis. Karen has written a book chronicling her son Chandler’s story called ‘Pieces That Fit: A Mother’s Journey through Her Son’s Puzzling Diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome.’ Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing after the eventafter the program.
