BRUNSWICK — Sparked by double victories from jumper Rachel Ingram and sprinter Heather Kendall, the University of Southern Maine women’s track and field team won the Bowdoin College Invitational at Magee-Samuelson Track on Saturday
The Huskies took the top spot among the six teams competing, scoring 199 points. Host Bowdoin was runner-up with 164, followed by Husson University with 80, Colby College with 56, the University of Maine at Farmington with 39 and St. Joseph’s College with seven points.
Former Brunswick High School standout Jasmine Boyle finished third in the 1,500, crossing in 4:54.93.
The Huskies will travel this upcoming Saturday to the Panther Spring Invitational at Middlebury College.
