FREEPORT — Judith A. Thompson, 77, of Freeport, passed away surrounded by her family on April 4, 2016.
Judy grew up in Freeport and worked for the Freeport schools for 16 years. She enjoyed spending time with her bingo buddies and singing in the “oldies” productions with family & friends. Judy will be remembered most for her devotion to her family and her love of her community. If she could lend a helping hand to someone in need, she did so anonymously with a heart to preserve the dignity of others.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 59 years, Reginald; her brother Bryan Sloat and wife Patricia; her sons: Kerry and wife Ruth of Lisbon Falls; Dale and wife Tammy of Topsham; Kirk of Brewer; Chris and partner Alice of Freeport; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Judy was pre deceased by her daughter Lori Bragdon and grand-daughter Sara, both formerly of Guildhall, VT.
Arrangements are in the care of Desmond Funeral Home and Lighthouse Cremation and Remembrance. Judy requested there be no funeral services. Those who wish to honor her memory may do so with contributions to the Freeport Community Services, 53 Depot Street, Freeport, ME 04032.
