TORONTO — Brad Richards and Mike Green each had a goal and an assist, and the Detroit Red Wings beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 on Saturday night.

Jimmy Howard made 32 saves for the Red Wings, who moved past the Boston Bruins for third place in the Atlantic Division with 91 points.

FLYERS 3, SENATORS 2: Philadelphia got two power-play goals from Wayne Simmonds and a strong effort from goaltender Steve Mason and continued its surge toward the playoffs with a win over visiting Ottawa.

The Flyers moved one point ahead of Boston for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference with five games left.

PANTHERS 4, CANADIENS 3: Aleksander Barkov scored with 28.1 seconds left and Florida rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat visiting Montreal and maintain a two-point lead over Tampa Bay for first place in the Atlantic Division.

LIGHTNING 3, DEVILS 1: Brian Boyle scored a go-ahead goal on a third-period power play as Tampa Bay won at home.

Steven Stamkos didn’t play, and GM Steve Yzerman said the Lightning’s leading goal scorer has a blood clot in his right arm and is expected to be out for at least a month.

PENGUINS 5, ISLANDERS 0: Pittsburgh clinched a playoff berth as Matt Murray made 23 saves for his first NHL shutout, at New York.

Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury did not make the trip because of a concussion.

SABRES 4, RANGERS 3: Ryan O’Reilly scored two first-period goals and visiting Buffalo prevented New York from clinching a playoff berth.

Stars 3, Kings 2: Jordie Benn scored the tie-breaking goal with 4:58 to play as Dallas rallied from a third-period deficit at Los Angeles.

Benn scored his first goal since Dec. 21 after Patrick Eaves tied it early in the third.

BLUE JACKETS 5, HURRICANES 1: Brandon Saad recorded his first career hat trick as Columbus won at Raleigh, North Carolina.
