LENOX, Mass. — Dolly Parton is set to make her debut at Tanglewood with a season-opening concert.
The country music star is scheduled to perform at the concert venue in the Berkshires on June 17.
Parton has had 25 songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Country charts during her long career.
Tanglewood is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Its popular artist lineup this summer includes Earth, Wind & Fire, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, James Taylor and The B-52s.
Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Swing Orchestra will close the season on Sept. 3.
