Another Chance Animal Rescue Pet Expo
Join AWS, the Cleo Fund, and neighboring animal organizations at the Another Chance Animal Rescue Pet Expo, Saturday, April 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Berwick Elementary School Gym, 25 Varney St., North Berwick. April Vacation Camp
The week long camp, April 18- 22, focuses on animal care and handling, making a difference, the connection between animals, people and the environment and animal welfare-related issues. There are opportunities for hands-on learning each day. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and explore their curiosity in this open learning environment. AWS Rabies Clinic in Springvale.
On Saturday, April 23rd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a Rabies Clinic at Aubuchon Hardware, 640 Main St. The rabies vaccine will be free for dogs and cats over 12 weeks of age. Donations are greatly appreciated. The owner must provide proof of previous rabies vaccine to receive a three-year vaccine. Bring dogs on a leash and cats in carriers. Petco Adoption Event in South Portland
Join the Animal Welfare Society from noon to 2 p.m. March 24 at Petco, 220 Maine Mall Road, for an adoption event. Adoptable animals will be present based on availability, look on the AWS Adoption Page to see who will be there. Furry Tales Story and Adventure Hour, April 7, 14 and 28
Attend Thursdays (when school is in session) from 10-11 a.m., in the Humane Education Room at the Animal Welfare Society on Holland Road, West Kennebunk. Preschoolers are invited to discover the exciting world of animals with stories, playtime, crafts, songs, movement and animal time. The event is free though donations are appreciated.
Furry Tales follows the RSU 21 school calendar. It will not be held on snow days.
