Maine Technology Institute, a state-backed agency that supports technology-oriented startups, awarded more than $1.5 million to Maine companies in February, leveraging $1.8 million in matching contributions.
Among the companies receiving development loans, which help a startup bring an innovative product or process to market, are:
n Abierto Networks of Eliot, which received $249,996 and provided a match of $263,081
n CLYNK of South Portland, which received $225,000 and provided an equal match.
n CryptoMedix of Harpswell, which received $237,441 and provided a match of $254,011.
n Davo Technologies of Portland, which received a loan of $200,000 and provided an equal match.
n Likeable Local of Portland, which received $254,884 and provided an equal match.
n STARC Systems of Brunswick, which received $107,400 and provided an equal match.
Also, 13 companies received smaller seed grants totaling $300,000.
