Full-moon walk, 7 p.m. in Biddeford

Join the Eastern Trail Alliance for a full-moon walk along the trail. Meet at the rear of the Southern Maine Health Care parking lot in Biddeford. The route includes a pond that has seen a lot of beaver activity. The hike will last about 90 minutes. No flashlights or pets. For more information, contact folk44@aol.com or call 283-4487.

Chainsaw class, April 23-24 in Jefferson

The Midcoast Conservancy will offer a chainsaw safety class at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson. By the end of the class, students will have the knowledge to properly maintain their saws and use them safely to buck firewood, fell trees and perform trail work. Participants don’t need a chainsaw. Fly fishing gathering, 4 p.m. April 2, Scarborough

The Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its 37th annual conservation event at Camp Ketcha. The featured speaker will be fly-casting legend, author and guide Macauley Lord, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Fly Fishers in 2011. Also presenting will be Catherine Schmitt, author of “The President’s Salmon: Restoring the King of Fish and Its Home Waters.” For more information, go to www.sebagotu.org.
