BRUNSWICK — The Oasis Free Clinics in Brunswick are increasing access to free dental services for uninsured, low income adults by adding two in-house dental suites. In 2015, Oasis provided over $134,000 in free dental services to 166 patients through its bi-weekly dental clinic. With the expansion of the dental clinic, Oasis will be able to help more people and prevent unnecessary visits to the emergency department. The new clinics will be open in May.

According to the American Dental Association, dental needs accounted for more than 40 percent of emergency department visits by Maine adults on MaineCare.
