Goff, 44, had been reported missing since Thursday, Feb. 25. Since that time, Westbrook community social media pages had been active with friends and family members hoping to escalate the search.

According to a police press release, Westbrook police officers along with the Maine Wardens Service located the body at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday. Police said the investigation into the cause of death is continuing, and the body will be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Augusta.

Westbrook police announced Saturday that Goff, also known as T.J., was supposed to arrive at a meeting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 25, but never did. He was then reported missing by his family.
