FREEPORT — The Moody Men’s Collegiate Choir will perform at the First Baptist Church of Freeport on March 13 at 10:45 a.m. Founded in 1957 at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, the Men’s Collegiate Choir has served local churches around the world through the ministry of music. They tour twice each year, presenting concerts of sacred music in various regions of the United States. Every two to four years, the choir also tours internationally and has had the privilege of singing in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Greece, and India. A concert tour in southern Africa is projected for Spring 2016. Under the direction of H. E. Singley III, their repertoire includes anthems, arrangements of familiar hymns and a variety of other styles of music. Singley is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and the American Conservatory of Music.
