
Biddeford’s Shayne Welch (195), Sanford’s Milton McCabe (145) and Massabesic’s Ethan Huff (126) and Noah McGrath (132) were all called up after four qualifiers dropped out of the tournament field.
The four alternates will join 14 other locals who qualified with top four finishes at last weekend’s Class A and B state meets.
Wells leads all local teams with six qualifiers. Cullen Cummings (126), Michael Wrigley (160), Jake Spofford (170), Nolan Potter (182), Sean MacCormack-Kuhnma (195) and Brenden Dean (220) will all compete for the Warriors.
Massabesic’s Leo Amabile (106), Kevin Nguyen (113) and Matthew Carroll (195) will join Huff and McGrath at the All- State meet.
Biddeford will be represented by Trey Burnham (220), Chris Lantagne (285) and Welch.
Sanford’s Sam Anderson (182), Nick Works (220) and McCabe will compete Saturday along with Kennebunk’s Alden Shields (106).
Wrestling is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham.
The top three finishers at Saturday’s All-State meet will qualify for the 2016 New England Championships, which will be held on March 4-5 in Providence, Rhode Island.
