
Gary was born May 3, 1957, the son of William Googoo and Muriel Nichols, and attended the Thatcher Brook Day Program in Biddeford.
He loved to cut wood in the woods, and was well known around town, as he collected bottles. Gary loved to go fishing, but would never share his “secret spots” with anyone.
Gary moved to Saco five years ago, and enjoyed his new home.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, William Googoo; and his stepfather, Ralph Labarge.
He is survived by: three brothers, Steve Googoo of Bridgton, Marlin Nichols of Limington and Wayne Langley of Lebanon; seven sisters, Carol Smith and Linda Spang of Lyman, Pamela Sanborn of West Baldwin, Cindy Carlson of Southbury, Connecticut, Mary LaPierre of Kennebunk, Donna Keegan of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Helen Nelson of Eliot; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. followed by a celebration of his life Friday, Feb. 19, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. Spring interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk.
