ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Ray Sanders scored 22 points and Albany (NY) crushed Maine 108-64 on Sunday.
It is Albany’s highest point production as a Division I program.
Sanders was 9 of 14 from the field with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Great Danes (21-7, 10-3 America East), who have won 6 of 7. Dallas Ennema scored 16 points, Peter Hooley had 12 and Evan Singletary added 11 points with eight assists. Albany shot nearly 58 percent and went 7 of 21 from beyond the arc.
Issac Vann led Maine (8-18, 4-9) with 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Aaron Calixte had 12 points and Till Gloger added 10. The Black Bears were out-rebounded 51-25.
Albany raced out to an 18-5 lead over the first seven minutes and never looked back. The Danes led 51-29 at half, and the lead hit 30 during a 12-point run to start the second half.
