Love and music will be in the air this Saturday, Feb. 13, as the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth hosts a series of live musical performances throughout the day.

The performances will feature some of the area’s top musicians who will perform love ballads and romantic upbeat tunes on the lower level, while strolling thespians will be on hand to read love sonnets aloud.

The schedule is as follows:

• 10 a.m.-noon – CEHS Willie Maiden Jazz Combo

This combo features one of the high school’s most award-winning, talented and enthusiastic groups of music students.

The combo features Zoeth Chalat on alto sax, Declan McCormick on bass, Marcus Donnelly on guitar, Will Steidl on trombone and Christie Gillies on drums.

• 1-1:30 p.m. – Women in Harmony Ensemble

This group of community singers will choose favorite love songs from its compelling a cappella repertoire.

• 1:30-3:30 p.m. – Russ Gershon Duo

Gershon is the winner of five Boston Music Awards, a record producer and a major recording artist who will be playing sax with a renowned rhythm artist.

• 3:45-4:45 p.m. – Don Gooding

Gooding has been wowing audiences in southern Maine for years with his renditions of Frank Sinatra hits.

A group from Women in Harmony will perform love songs at the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth on Saturday, Feb. 13, along with various other music groups.
