WINSLOW — Morse trailed by eight after a quarter and chipped away from there, but Winslow held on for a 37-34 victory in jayvee high school girls basketball action on Thursday.
The Black Raiders led 12- 4, 18-14 and 26-22 at the quarter breaks.
Emma Gould had a game-high 12 points for Morse (9- 9), while Isabella Monboquettte added six points and Marija Medenica five.
Maddy Roy paced Winslow with 10 points, with Sarah Guimond pitching in nine and Alexa Petruvie eight.
At the free-throw line, Morse was 6-for-19 and Winslow 8-for-20.
