LEWISTON — The Morse High School jayvee girls basketball team jumped out to a big first-half lead and held on for a 43-34 victory over Lewiston on Friday.
The Shipbuilders, who improved to 6-8, led 10-4 and 24-11 at the first two quarter breaks. But, the Blue Devils rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Morse, 16-8, to close to 32-27 after 24 minutes.
Maddy Mitchell and Emma Gould led Morse with 10 points each, with Marissa Parks adding seven.
Kiani Teaglu had a game-high 22 points for Lewiston.
At the free-throw line, Morse finished 9-of-16 and Lewiston was 10-of-16.
