LISBON FALLS — Tyrese Joseph picked up 22 points as the Lisbon High School boys basketball team ended a three-game losing streak with a 56-47 Mountain Valley Conference win over Carrabec on Monday.
Lisbon improved to 7-8 and visits Mt. Abram on Thursday at 7 p.m. The victory jumped the Greyhounds to No. 6 in the Class B South Heal Point Standings. Carrabec fell to 5-10.
The Greyhounds led 18-17 after a quarter, but trailed 33-32 at the break. Lisbon controlled the second half, outscoring the Cobras, 24-14.
Josh Huston chipped in 12 points, while Noah Carter had 11 in the win.
Dustin Crawford paced Carrabec with 22 points.
Girls basketball
BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Page Brown scored 17 points as Boothbay rolled to a 57-11 MVC win over Wiscasset on Monday.
The Seahawks never trailed, darting out to a 17-0 first-quarter lead and holding the Wolverines (3-12) to just one first-half point.
Hannah Morley and Faith Blethen each scored eight points in the win as Boothbay improved to 14-1.
Sydnie Thayer and Colleen Hendricks both had four points for Wiscasset, which hosts St. Dom’s on Thursday at 7 p.m.
