BRUNSWICK — A Brunswick man was arrested Monday night for allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend. Kevin Michaud, 33, of Brunswick was arrested and charged with the Class B crime of domestic violence aggravated assault. Cmdr. Mark Waltz said police got a report Monday at 6 p.m. from a hospital that there had been a domestic assault a couple days prior when Michaud allegedly assaulted his girlfriend by attempting to strangler her. No bail was set and Michaud was taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
