A Limington woman was killed in a single-car crash early Monday morning on Route 25, also known as Ossipee Trail West, in Standish near the Limington town line.

Susan Jensen, 59, died when her yellow 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek left the road and hit a utility pole about 5:25 a.m., according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Jensen, the only occupant in the car, was driving east on Route 25 at the time. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her family has been notified.

She was wearing a seatbelt and the car’s airbags did deploy.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the accident. Icy roads and a medical condition are being explored as possible contributing factors.

Route 25 was closed and traffic was being diverted away from the area while officials reconstructed the crash. The road has since reopened.
