Church gives bicycles, helmets to foster children

For the fifth year running, St. Augustine Anglican Church has donated bicycles and helmets to foster children living in York County as part of its Vine and Branches Outreach Committee.

The purchases were primarily funded through bottle drive money raised in 2015.

The church worked directly with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services to identify children who would benefit from the gift. For some of the recipients, the bicycles were the only gift received at Christmas.
