Teddy Bear Sleepover Evening Story Time Wednesday, Dec. 30, 5:30 p.m. Join author Molly Talevi for a story time reading of her book “Hammy and Murph’s First Sleepover”. Bring one of your favorite stuffed animals and after the reading and some cookies, your little furry friend can stay for a ‘Teddy Bear Sleepover’ at the Library. When you pick them up the next day you can learn about how much fun they had!

ART EXHIBITS
In the display cases, an exhibit by area resident Ron Ames depicts a 19th-century view of the Native American as
“The Noble Savage”.
Stories in Miniature: Seacoast resident Cheryl Frye’s new diorama “Treasure Island” is now on display on the upper level of the library. Complete with Captain Hook, treasure chest, and skull and crossbones, this classic is illustrated in wonderful detail. Cheryl develops these delightful scenes with her grandchildren. Her work has been exhibited in a number of Seacoast Libraries, including Rye and Portsmouth.

In the Kennebunk Room: Paintings by artist Patricia M. Manninen will be on exhibit through the month of December. Patty a resident of Ipswich, Massachusetts, for over 40 years received her MBA in Business, with a minor in Art Education. Prior to her 29 years as a full professor in Business she pursued all aspects of art from Fashion, Interior Design, Jewelry Fabrication, and Clothing Construction to the teaching of Acrylic and Oil Painting. One of her favorite subjects to paint is water. She states, “The sea has so many moods, nuances, color variations and extremes that it will be a continuing perpetual challenge and pleasure for me to pursue.” This exhibit is sponsored by the York Art Association.
