Windham Cancer Support Group will not meet on Monday, Dec. 28 – but can always be reached. WCSG sends its hope that all will have a healthy new year, and will see you the last Monday of every month at the Windham Public Library at 6:30 p.m.

Brunch with Santa

The Windham Knights of Columbus will hold a Brunch with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 919 Roosevelt Trail (Route 302) in Windham. The brunch is open to the public and includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, fresh donuts, coffee, tea, milk. Brunch is just $6 per person. Proceeds will be benefit families in need this holiday season.

The Windham Food Pantry is still looking for any food or monetary donations to help with their Christmas food baskets. The pantry is open to accept donations Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Essentials Pantry

On Saturday, Dec. 19, the Essentials Pantry is open, 8:30-9:30 a.m., downstairs at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Windham. The pantry provides non-food items for those who qualify. One bag per household includes personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and more.

Poker night

Check in at Dena’s near the post office in North Windham, if you’re interested in playing poker. The Windham Veterans Center hosts poker on the first and third Wednesdays. Anyone interested can also call 653-1582 for more information. Proceeds benefit the Veteran Center.

Discount ticket program

The Windham Parks & Recreation Department is offering discount tickets to a number of ski mountains as well as the Portland Pirates and Portland Dine-Around card. People will save a significant amount of money and time by purchasing their tickets this way. Stop by the Parks & Recreation office anytime, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, or call 892-1905.

Rotary Club meeting

The Sebago Lake Rotary Club meets every Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at Dena’s Lobster House, 765 Roosevelt Trail. Check the website www.sebagolakerotary.com for more information.

Coffee Social

On Wednesday, Dec. 30, the Lakes Region Senior Center, 40 Acorn St., Gorham, will hold a Coffee Social from 10 a.m.-noon. All are welcome to join for an end-of-the-year treat.

American Legion meets

The American Legion Field Allen Post 148 will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Windham Veterans Center. Social hour and dinner is at 5 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. by the business meeting. Happy New Year!
