Need something more to satisfy your craving for all things “Star Wars”? Several restaurants have menu items that could help:
TRY A CHEWBACA BURGER
Smitty’s Cinemas will have a special “Star Wars” menu starting Dec. 17 and running as long as the movie is showing. These dine-and-eat theaters in Biddeford, Windham, Sanford, Topsham and Tilton, New Hampshire, have lounge chairs and tables in place of stadium seating. They may very well be the only place where you can watch “The Force Awakens” while munching on Rebel Poutine ($7.99). Other offerings include The Kashyyyk Crater of Chili ($10.49), served over mashed potatoes with cheese and sour cream, and The Dark Side Sundae ($5.99), a brownie sundae topped with bacon bits.
MAY THE BORSCHT BE WITH YOU
The Great Lost Bear in Portland will serve its traditional beet soup with housemade lightsaber-shaped pretzel sticks. Also on the menu, Tatooine Nachos, tater tots smothered in nacho toppings.
DRINK TO THE DARK SIDE
At the bar at Tiqa in Portland, try Imperial Travesty, a cocktail made with Founders Imperial Stout, Disaronno and orange bitters ($10).
FORCE FUEL
Planning a weeknight “Star Wars” marathon in advance of Thursday’s release? Refuel with a Return of the Red Eye from Coffee By Design’s Freeport location. The drink is a mocha au lait (half coffee, half steamed milk with chocolate), plus a shot of espresso ($3.90, plus tax, for 16 ounces).
