One person was killed when fire broke out Sunday night in a home on Bluff Circle in New Gloucester, WCSH-TV reported.

The fatality was confirmed by a New Gloucester fire department captain, the Portland TV station said.

The fire was reported at 81 Bluff Circle shortly before 10 p.m.

Crews were still on scene about 11:45 p.m. mopping up. No one from the New Gloucester fire department was immediately available to comment.
