BRUNSWICK — Mark Holbrook announced he will seek the Republican Party nomination next year in Maine’s 1st Congressional District, which is currently represented by Democratic U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree.

Holbrook ran unsuccessfully last year in state House District 50, where he lost to Democrat Ralph Tucker.
