Beaver Hike, 5:30 p.m. in York
The Center for Wildlife and the Mount Agamenticus Learning Lodge staff are hosting a seminar on beavers. Come to the Learning Lodge to learn about nocturnal wildlife with the Center for Wildlife’s animal ambassadors. Then join a hike under the full moon, known as the beaver moon, and go in search of nocturnal wildlife. No cost, all welcome. Full Moon Walk, 6 p.m. in Biddeford

Inspired to Ride, 2 p.m. Dec. 1, in Brunswick
The documentary about the inaugural TransAm Bike Race, “Inspired to Ride,” will begin a week-long run at the Frontier Cinema and Cafe. The documentary follows the first bike race along the TransAmerica Trail held in 2014, when 45 cyclists set out on the 4,233-mile self-supported trip from Oregon to Virginia. The documentary was made by the same directors of the film “Ride the Divide.” The Frontier Cinema is located at 14 Maine Street. Tickets are priced at $12. The Bangor Land Trust is sponsoring a talk by pest management specialist, Jim Dill of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
