Seven candidates are vying to fill three open seats on the Cape Elizabeth Town Council and four candidates are eyeing three seats on the school board in Nov. 3’s municipal election.

Jessica Sullivan, Jamie Wagner and Jim Walsh currently hold the available council seats, while John Christie III, David Hillman and Mary Williams-Hewitt hold the available school board seats. All of their three-year terms expire in December.

Councilors Wagner and Walsh are not seeking additional terms. School Board members Christie, Hillman and Williams-Hewitt are also not seeking re-election.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Absentee ballots will be available at the Town Hall until 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Sullivan, who is seeking her third term on the Town Council, will race for a seat against Victoria Volent, chairwoman of the Cape Elizabeth Planning Board, Roger Bishop, Ralph Miller, Imogene Altznauer, Jamie Garvin, and Sara Lennon who served terms on the council from 2007-2012.

Those vying for a seat on the School Board include Elizabeth Scifres, who served on the board from 2011-2013, and newcomers William Gross III, John Voltz and Heather Altenburg.

South Portland resident Joseph Siviski who is seeking a five-year term on the Portland Water District board of trustees representing Cape Elizabeth and South Portland will also appear on the ballot.
