BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Clark Insurance elected new officers to its board of directors.
Kenneth Ross of South Portland was elected chairman of the board. He joined the agency in 1989 and has served as the agency’s president since 2010.
G. Jeffrey Shaw of Saco was elected president. Shaw joined the agency in 2004 and most recently served as executive vice president and sales manager.
Jeffrey Lind of Limington was elected executive vice president. He has served as a vice president and currently serves as treasurer. He joined the agency in 1993.
Maine Maritime Museum has elected William Gemmill and Jennifer Yahr to its board of trustees.
Gemmill spent 15 years as an owner of small-business franchises and served as a financial adviser with Ameriprise. He is also a maritime historian who lives in Wiscasset.
Yahr, of Falmouth, is a psychotherapist, facilitator, consultant and educator. She is a practitioner with 202 Behavioral Health, principal with DBT Maine LLC and partner in Brunswick Psychotherapy Associates.
Bernard Wyman Jr. joined the board of directors of Plant Memorial Home in Bath.
He retired from Bath Iron Works in 1995 with more than 36 years of service.
Delta Dental Plan of Maine recently elected Audree Park, DDS, to its board of directors.
Park is the primary dentist and owner of MDI Dental Arts PC in Bar Harbor. She is also the co-founder of Caring Hands of Maine Dental Center in Ellsworth. She currently provides services through its mobile dental clinics to rural and island communities.
James Delamater, former president of Northeast Bank and Northeast Bancorp, joined the board of directors for Spinnaker Trust.
He is an accomplished business and banking leader with extensive financial services experience. He is a partner with Delamater/Farris and president of Delamater Financial Consulting Group.
AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS
Deborah Wentworth of Clark Insurance has earned the insurance designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
Wentworth, of Falmouth, is the agency’s director of business insurance services in three states.
Kerry Dor and Donna Spencer, both of Saco, were named “Caregiver of the Month” for August by Comfort Keepers, a provider of in-home support services for older adults in southern Maine.
GENERAL
Deputy District Attorney Meg Elam was assigned to spearhead prosecutions of sex trafficking and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation in Cumberland County.
Susan McPartlan joined the Portland Chapter of SCORE as a volunteer mentor.
McPartlan, of Portland, brings a range of financial planning experience, with a focus on small-business issues.
Lighthouse Foot and Ankle Center in Portland has moved to a new location, 23 Spring St., Suite B, in Scarborough.
Community Concepts Finance Corp. has provided Argo Marketing Group the financing needed to expand in Maine.
Argo made news recently by being named the 2014 fastest growing private company in by Inc. magazine. With the acquisition of its newly acquired iYogi contract, Argo is expected to hire another 200 skilled employees.
