Sanford police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store on High Street Sunday afternoon.

The man entered the Eastside Convenience store about 4 p.m., showed a handgun, and fled, according to a news release by Sanford police.

He was wearing jeans and a black, gold and white Boston Bruins sweatshirt. He also wore a bright orange knit cap that he pulled over his face with eye holes cut out.

While fleeing, the man was hit by a car and lost a sneaker. He entered a waiting car, described as a white, four-door Ford sedan, possibly with two other occupants, one of whom was a woman.

Police did not say how much money the robber took.

Anyone with information about the man or the robbery should call Sanford police at 324-3644.
