A Sanford man who illegally sold oxycodone pills through a middleman to a law enforcement source pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland to a distribution of oxycodone charge.
James Levesque, 54, supplied 40 80 mg oxycontin pills to a drug dealer who was working for him March 7, 2014, and took $1,800 in proceeds from the dealer after the deal in a McDonald’s restaurant bathroom in Sanford, according to court records.
Levesque remains free on a $10,000 unsecured bond pending his sentencing hearing Jan. 27 before Judge Nancy Torresen. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
