The 19th Century Willowbrook Village hosts a Paint Pony Fundraising Party, which includes a carousel ride, dinner and drinks, live bluegrass music, a silent auction and silent movie at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the village on Elm Street in Newfield.
RSVP for tickets. The cost is as follows: non-members: $22 single, $40 couple; members: $18 single, $36 couple. Call 793-2784 during museum hours, Thursday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The menu includes herb encrusted pork loin with balsamic sweet pepper sauce, risotto primavera, corn salad with citrus aioli, sautéed zucchini ribbons, romaine and spring lettuce salad with lemon vinaigrette, rolls, homemade pies, and a glass of wine or local beer. Other refreshments will also be available.
Silent auction winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m. Many items which will be on display in the Country Store from Sept. 5 until the party as well as on Facebook and the Willowbrook blog: 19thcenturywillowbrookvillage. blogspot.com.
