Hartman presiding over Sunday Service
ORR’S ISLAND — Rev. Samuel Hartman will preside over the service Sunday, Sept. 6, at All Saint’s Chapel, located at 9 Cooper Lane, off Harpswell Islands Road/Route 24 on Orr’s Island. Bailey Island— The last service of the summer season at All Saints by the Sea, Bailey Island, will be held on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The celebrant will be the Rev. Bennett Barnes of Brunswick. The chapel is located on Washington Avenue.
Bath gospel is concert Sept. 9
BATH — Bath Church of the Nazarene is hosting an evening of southern gospel music at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at 191 Center St. There will be no charge but an offering will be taken. The Blackwood Brothers Quartet will perform.
Edgecomb church to host book study
EDGECOMB — Edgecomb Community Church will host a bool study on “The Artist’s Way: A spiritual Path to Higher Creativity,” by Julia Cameron starting 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9. The study will continue over 12 weekly lessons. The study will cover a variety of topics for conversation and inspiration including self-awareness, motivation and inner healing as we explore all forms of art. Being artistic is not a prerequisite. Lisbon Methodist has new hours
LISBON — Beginning Sunday, Sept. 13th, Lisbon United Methodist Church service will begin at 9:30 a.m. The weekly worship service, lead by Pastor Elizabeth Bachelder Smith, the newly appointed minister to Lisbon United Methodist Church, is followed by a social time with refreshments. Childcare is provided during the worship service.
The LUMC Sunday School year begins Sunday, Sept. 13 with a luncheon following the 9:30 a.m. service. Children, ages 3-15 years from the local Lisbon community are invited to attend the classes held at 9:30 a.m. at the church. This year’s theme features age-appropriate Bible stories about God’s love for all people. Membership in the church is not required. Classes are open to all who wish to learn more about the lessons of the Bible.
