Partridge presiding over Sunday Service

ORR’S ISLAND — Rev. Dr. H. Roy Partridge, Jr. will preside over the service Sunday at All Saint’s Chapel, located at 9 Cooper Lane, off Harpswell Islands Road/Route 24 on Orr’s Island. Visser presiding over Islands service

BAILEY ISLAND — Rev. Dick Visser will preside over the service Sunday at The Islands Community Church on Bailey Island, Harpswell. The Islands Community Church is a non-denominational church based on the teachings of the Bible. Communion is offered monthly on the first Sunday. All are welcome to attend.

‘Jesus Film’ screening in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK — The Church of the Nazarene at 96 McKeen St. will have a free screening the children’s version of the “Jesus Film” Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. In 1997, the Church of the Nazarene began a partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ to show the “Jesus Film” about the life, death, and resurrection of Christ as an evangelistic tool to reach people all over the world.

Yard Sale to benefit Domincan mission

BRUNSWICK — The high school youth group at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will hold a yard sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 27 Peasant St. Proceeds from the sale will help fund the youth group’s mission trip to the Dominican Republic in February 2016, though Outreach 360. Concert at Bath Church

BATH — The Blackwood Brothers Quartet southern gospel group will perform 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 4 at the Bath Church of the Nazarene at 191 Center St. There is no charge, but offerings will be accepted.

First Parish Church Annual Sale

BRUNSWICK — First Parish Church, United Church of Christ, will hold its annual Clothing and Linen Sale from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 12 in the Pilgrim House on 9 Cleaveland St. This sale has been an annual event in Brunswick for the past 25 years. Parishioners and friends of First Parish begin their spring-cleaning in their overcrowded closets and donate their items for resale. This has become known as a way of recycling and passing on unused or gently used items for others to enjoy.

Donations of good, clean clothing and linens (curtain, bedspreads, quilts, tablecloths, etc) will be accepted beginning on Thursday, Sept. 3 and will continue through Sept. 10. Most items are priced between $1 and $2. The sale will be held in the upstairs Fellowship Hall of First Parish’s Pilgrim House on 9 Cleaveland St.

Day’s Ferry worship resumes

WOOLWICH — The Day’s Ferry Congregational Church in Woolwich will resume its regular 10 a.m. worship service and Sunday school beginning Sept. 13.
