After being delayed twice last weekend due to rain and field conditions, the town of Scarborough will host its 19th annual event celebrating summer on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Scarborough SummerFest will be held at the high school sports complex, 4-10 p.m. Except for the SummerFest road race, which was held Aug. 21, events will go on as planned. They include live entertainment, a petting zoo, a raffle and much more.

In addition, local nonprofit organizations will be on hand, offering food, drink and a variety of fun activities. And, don’t forget to stick around for the fireworks display, which will start at 9:15 p.m.

Other events include a trivia game, pony rides, a photo booth, a dunk tank, a climbing wall, Thomas the Train Engine, the Extreme Air Jumper and a display of big trucks.

Vendors selling crafts and other novelty items will also be on the fairgrounds.

The schedule is as follows:

• 5:30 p.m. – “Steve Wronker’s Funny Business” comedy show

• 7-9 p.m. – Montgomery Road Band, country and classic rock

• 9 p.m. – Announcements and raffle winners

• 9:15 p.m. – Fireworks

Parking is provided in the high school parking lot off Municipal Drive. Handicapped parking is available at the Wentworth School.
