Widdows presiding over Sunday Service
ORR’S ISLAND — Rev. John Widdows will preside over the service Sunday, Aug. 16 at All Saint’s Chapel, located at 9 Cooper Lane, off Harpswell Islands Road/Route 24 on Orr’s Island. Rickeman presiding over Islands service
BAILEY ISLAND — Rev. Ginger Rickeman will preside over the service Sunday, Aug. 16, at The Islands Community Church on Bailey Island, Harpswell. The Islands Community Church is a nondenominational church based on the teachings of the Bible. Communion is offered monthly on the first Sunday. All are welcome to attend.
Supper to benefit Eldercare
EDGECOMB — A fundraising supper will be held at the Edgecomb Congregational Church on Saturday Aug. 15 to benefit the Eldercare Network of Lincoln County. Sponsored by the Mission Outreach Committee, it will be held in the wheel chair accessible church fellowship hall. The Eldercare Network was formed in 1996 and provides home like assisted living opportunities at Hodgdon Green in Damariscotta and six village care homes in surrounding communities.
The menu consists of homemade casseroles, salads, rolls, beverages and desserts. The supper will be served from 5 p.m.-6p.m. The charge is $8 for adults, $3 for children under 12.
The thrift shop will open at 4:30 p.m. for browsers who come early.

Holy Cow to perform at Lisbon Falls
LISBON FALLS — The Holy Cow Kitchen Band will perform 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, 19 School St., Lisbon Falls. An old fashioned Hymn Sing will be held in the sanctuary, followed by an ice cream social in the dining room.
Haddock chowder supper at St. Philip’s
WISCASSET — St. Philip’s Church, 12 Hodge St., Wiscasset, will host its second and final haddock chowder supper on Monday, Aug. 17. Seating is from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., $10 for an adult and $5 for a child 12 and under. Reservations are suggested, though not necessary. Call (207) 882- 7184.
The menu includes haddock chowder, tossed pasta and bean salads; corn and French breads and a dessert table. Hot dogs are also available for the non-chowder consuming family members.
The funds generated from the event are applied to the support of the Church and its outreach missions.
