GHS class of ’60 to reunite

Mary Landry has announced that the Gorham High School class of 1960 will hold its 55th reunion on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Windham Veterans Center in North Windham.

Landry said the meal will be potluck and there is no fee to attend. Those attending are asked to take a dish to share.

Free summer concert

Three Days Till Monday will be in concert from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the gazebo on the lawn at Gorham Municipal Center, 75 South St. The Tricky Britches concert on Aug. 4 was postponed because of the storm and a new date hadn’t been confirmed by the American Journal deadline Wednesday.

Fiddle-icious concert benefit Sunday

A Taste the Music Fiddle-icious Concert will be held Sunday, Aug. 9, from 3-5 p.m., at PineCrest Inn, 91 South St. The concert is free. There also will be a barbecue feast by Pinecrest Inn, with donations to benefit the Gorham Arts Alliance.

Gorham history buffs and genealogy reserachers can take advantage of the resources in Gorham Historicl Society’s archives.

The archives, located at 28 School St., is open from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursdays to October.

U.S. taxpayer debt

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service reported on July 30 that the U.S. public debt was $18,151,852,256,637.31.
