Traffic is moving slowly on Interstate 295 southbound through Portland Thursday morning.

A two-car crash at 8:20 a.m. in the vicinity of Exit 6 resulted in no injuries but slowed down morning commuter traffic.

A subsequent crash in the same area at 9:22 a.m. further snarled traffic.

As of 9:4 a.m., southbound traffic remains backed up beyond Tukey’s Bridge to the Falmouth town line.
