SOUTH BERWICK — Luke Stanokovich and Jake Lebel each hit a three-run homer Tuesday, and Staples Crossing locked up a berth in the state American Legion baseball tournament with an 11-6 victory against Saco Bay PT in a Zone 4 semifinal.

Lebel’s home run in the seventh inning capped a four-run rally after Saco Bay nearly overcame a 6-1 deficit. Lebel finished with four RBI and Noah McDaniel had two.

Cole Merritt singled, doubled and homered for Saco Bay.

SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 9, WELLS 4: Casey Twomey hit a home run and a double, and had four RBI to lead second-seeded Saco & Biddeford Savings (12-5) by third-seeded Wells (9-8) in a Zone 4 tourney game at Biddeford.

Kerry Crepeau added four hits for Saco & Biddeford Savings, including a two-run single in the seventh.

MORRILL POST SWEEPS ANDREWS: Morrill Post (12-4) scored four runs on one hit in the seventh inning to rally to a 7-6 victory in Game 1 before finishing the sweep with a 17-1, five-inning victory in Game 2 at South Portland.

Morrill got the tying and winning runs in the opener on a two-out dropped outfield fly. Jon Vickers retired all five batters he faced to earn the win.

Sam Troiano hit a grand slam and finished with five RBI to lead the second-game rout. Nick Troiano went 3 for 3 and scored three runs, and Robert Graff struck out seven.

MOODY’S SWEEPS OA-YARMOUTH: Corey Nadeau and Pat Weimer each earned a save as Moody’s Collision won a pair of one-run games, 4-3 and 5-4 against OA-Yarmouth at Gorham.

Moody’s used a two-run sixth inning to tie the opener, then got the winning run in the seventh when Gerek Brown doubled and scored on a pair of errors.

In Game 2, Cam Smith broke a 4-4 tie with an RBI double in the fifth. Jason Komulainen had two RBI for Moody’s.

SEBAGO LAKERS 4, CUMBERLAND 3: Tanner Laberge struck out nine batters in a four-hitter to lift the Sebago Lakers (9-7) over Cumberland (7-9) at Windham.

YANKEE FORD 6, LIBBY-MITCHELL 1: Alex Jacobs struck out six in a three-hitter, and Jared Brooks drove in two runs to help Yankee Ford (9-8) defeat Libby-Mitchell (5-12) at Scarborough.

YANKEE FORD 5, FAYETTE-STAPLES 0: Jack Casale struck out nine with one walk while throwing a no-hitter for second-seeded Yankee Ford (14-3) against seventh-seeded Fayette-Staples (6-10) in a South Division quarterfinal at Portland.

FIELD-ALLEN 9, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Blake Houser drove in three runs to back a two-hitter by Tanner Bernier, and sixth-seeded Field-Allen (10-7) rolled to a road victory against third-seeded South Portland (13-4) in a South Division quarterfinal.

WESTBROOK 9, SKOWHEGAN 3: Justin Coppeta and Kyle Champagne each had two hits and two RBI to lead fifth-seeded Westbrook (10-7) over fourth-seeded Skowhegan (9-7) in a North Division quarterfinal at Skowhegan.

Bailey Ryan gave up three runs on four hits and five walks, striking out eight over six innings to earn the win.
